I was explaining to my wife how much fun this next week is going to be in Natural Philosophy class. We are studying "ballistics" and have built crossbows and done a study on the affect of offset fletching on bolt (arrow) distance. Now we are a week out from Spring break and I remembered that I wanted to teach students how to build rocket engines using some great instructions from Grant Thompson, "King of Random" on Youtube so they can do home experiments with this - under parent supervision - to have some constructive fun during a week of no formal school.

Grant did such a great job of explaining how to build rockets that I thought I might go ahead and put something up here myself. I will probably focus on lab activities so that it will be useful to others. I already enjoy getting emails from people who bump into 12knights.pbworks.com or scienceknights.com asking questions about labs and activities. This will be another way to make more ideas and activities available!
